Lively Kitchens, Inc offers a variety of workshops that are engaging, interactive and provide practical approaches to enable the participants to apply the knowledge in their daily lives. The workshops are approximately 90 minutes in length and can be adapted to the audience. Please contact Joyce Lande with the program(s) you are interested.
Nourish Your Body
3-5 classes. Each class is 60 minutes of nutrition education. This program is ideal for students age 12-18 or families. Fees are based on number of classes in a series and length of each class.
Nutrition and Movement (90 minute program)
6-8 consecutive workshops focusing on Nutrition and Food for Health, Movement, Support and Inspiration for Maintaining Optimal Health.
Healthy Scavenger Hunt (90 minute program)
What do you get when you cross a library, books filled with nutrition and wellness tips longing to be discovered? A scavenger hunt that promotes learning and fun at the same time! Join Joyce Lande, Wellness Coach & Nutrition Advisor for a free nutrition and wellness class. Participants will discover a world of resources for wellness and nutrition tips. (Suitable for libraries or bookstores and children.)
Fruits & Vegetables: A Seek & Find Game (60-90 minute program)
The library staff needs help identifying the different fruits and vegetables that are located throughout the library. Can you help? Participants will learn the healthy benefits of fruits and vegetables and make a seasonal snack. Joyce Lande is a Wellness Coach and Nutrition Advisor. She empowers people to transform their wellness goals by sharing tasty tips and adding flavor to her classes. (Suitable for libraries or bookstores and children.)
Take Your Crock Pot To Lunch/Dinner Workshop (60-90 minutes)
Do you have a crockpot in your kitchen that hasn’t seen daylight for a couple months – or years? Would you like to dust if off and learn how to make a meal that is ready to eat when you walk in the door after a busy day? Join Joyce Lande, Wellness Coach & Nutrition Advisor, as she shares how to get cookin’ with your crockpot. This class is appropriate for all skill levels, covers crockpot food preparation and basic usage tips, seasonal delights and tasty recipes are shared. Participants will enjoy samples and leave with recipes.
Take Your Crock Pot To Dinner- Advanced – 60-90 minutes
Did you attend the fall crockpot class (Take Your Crockpot to Dinner – Beginners) and leave wanting more? Joyce Lande, Happy and Healthy Lifestyles, returns to encourage you to keep your crockpot from accumulating dust and learn how to make more meals that are ready to eat when you walk in the door after a busy day. This class is appropriate for novice to advanced users. Seasonal delights and tasty recipes will be shared. Participants will enjoy samples and leave with recipes. Joyce will be available after class to review crockpot basics if you missed the class in the fall.
Meal & Freezer Meal Preparation Workshop (60 minutes)
Do you struggle with getting snacks and meals planned for the week? Would you like tips to learn how to make healthy taste good? Join Joyce Lande, Wellness Coach and Nutrition Advisor, as she shares her recommendations to get your kitchen organized and ready for the week. This class covers menu planning tips, grocery shopping tips plus food preparation game plan. Participants can select 3-5 entrees to create and these will be done at the workshop. (Suitable for home parties, girl’s night or family night.)
Make Nutritious Delicious – A Meal Planning Workshop (60-90 minutes)
